I need to find a sociological theoretical dissertation question on one of the following areas: Cyberspace, Identity, Childhood, Post modernity, Consumerism or Disaster, Any Ideas?
If you are working with a traditional theory in sociology, such as the social contract, behaviorism, or Maslow's hierarchy of needs, you could orient that theory towards one of the specific topics; Such as, childhood Darwinism with the thesis that there is a special kind of social contract involved, or how is Maslow's hiearchy of needs adapted for the virtual citizen of the future? What values need revising? etc. Perhaps you could combine some of these areas, if permissible. For example, the pedagogy of cyberspace for childhood development, or disaster consumerism, or what is the nature of the post-modern consumer? If not, at least these types of areas provide a groundwork for other types of inquires that are more or less basic. i belive that Consumerism is the one. It shall always be a problem to investigate. How does cyberspace affect childhood identity in the post modern consumerist world full of disaster stories. :-)I need to find a sociological theoretical dissertation question on one of the following areas: Cyberspace, Identity, Childhood, Post modernity, Consumerism or Disaster, Any Ideas?
