Are Faith and Reason compatible?
Faith and reason have to be compatible! Faith which is not reasonable is gullibility. Do those who believe in Santa Clause have faith? Science can not prove the existence of God. That does not mean God does not exist. Science can not create life.Science illuminates and is consistent with true religion. All religious dogmas contain remnants of evolved religious thinking such as creation myths and stories. As religions evolve eventually the taboos, superstitions, traditions and rituals must yield to spiritual truths and these revealed truths will always withstand the honest scrutiny of science, What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof. [1] Science faith only seem to be incompatible because all that is presented in the government run school system is the skewed scientific information from those trying to disprove the existence of a God, they make far too many leaps, and schools teach theory as fact. There is a lot of science that supports Creation and the existence of an "intelligent designer." It takes more faith to be atheist then Christian Faith and reason are at odds with eachother; similarly religion and science are incompatable Most theoretical physicists believe in God. Since they are known to possess very strong reasoning powers, and are often considered to be among smartest people of all, their faith and reason don't seem to bother one another. In fact, it seems that their faith in God helps them in their discoveries. [2][3]Are Faith and Reason compatible? The core truths of science depend on empirical observation. The core truths of religion depend on faith. The two are polar opposites.
