A teacher's purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image. The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes, and inspires his listener with the wish to teach himself. A master can tell you what he expects of you. A teacher, though, awakens your own expectations. Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand. Teachers teach more by what they are than by what they say.
